A lawyer by training, Catherine co-founded the law firm Crochet & Crochet in Geneva, Switzerland in 1977 and is a senior partner to this day. She is specialised in banking, commercial and civil law. She then co-founded Apricus Finance in Geneva in 1995. She is the chairwoman of Apricus to this day. She accumulated extensive experience in banking and finance through her dual positions. Catherine has a degree in Law from the University of Geneva and is a qualified lawyer since 1975. She is Swiss.
François Struye de Swielande

François started his career in 1986 as a senior auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. He then held several positions at CSC Computer Sciences Corporation in France-Belgium-Luxemburg over eleven years, including VP and CFO for the company’s regional operations and general manager for the Belgian operations. François joined Apricus Finance in 2001. Since 2010 he has served as senior VP/CFO at Inventages, a Venture Capital firm active in health sciences. François graduated from the Solvay Business School (University of Brussels VUB) in Belgium. He holds both Swiss and Belgian citizenships.

Patrick started his financial career in 1996 with Citibank NA as a management associate, taking part in the Associate Training Program in London and New York. He then moved into money management with a Swiss-based Single Family Office and then with a Geneva-based private bank. He joined Apricus Finance in 2004. Patrick holds a Master degree in Economics from University of Fribourg (Switzerland), a Master degree in Economic Sciences from University College Dublin (Ireland), and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is Swiss.

After studying Literature and Economics at the University of Basel, Alain started his career in 1990 at Swiss Bank Corporation, O’Connor as a proprietary trader in the capital markets, working between Basel, Chicago and Philadelphia. In 1994 he joined Citibank Private Bank, first in Zurich then in New York as head of foreign exchange trading. Back in Switzerland in 1999, he spent 13 years as head of the investment management team at Barclays in Geneva. In 2012 he moved to independent asset manager at BvB & Cie with the function of CIO. Alain joined Apricus Finance in 2016. Alain is a certified international investment analyst, a federal expert in Finance and Investments and a member of both the Swiss Financial Analysts Association and the Market Technicians Association. He is Swiss.
A lawyer by training, Jean-Louis has been a partner of the Geneva based law firm, Crochet & Crochet, for over thirty years. He has successively been a judge and a prosecutor in the Swiss judicial system. Jean-Louis has a degree in Law from the University of Geneva, and is a member of the Geneva Bar. He is Swiss.
Alberto joined Apricus Finance in 2014, where he is involved in both Asset Management and Multi-Family Office activities. He focuses on wealth structuring, investment policies, estate planning and conflict resolution. Alberto received his Master degree in Law and Economics from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and is certified FRM. He is Swiss.

Steven started his career in 2009 with Turgot Asset Management as a sales manager before joining the porfolio manager team. In 2012 he joined Julius Bär in Singapore as a relationship manager for the South East Asian and Indian clients. After running the family business in Paris, he joined Apricus Finance in 2017. Steven holds a Master degree in Economics from Panthéon Assas University in Paris. He is French.

Philomena started her financial career in 1997 with Capital International SA, where she worked in the Mutual Funds business, before joining JP Morgan Private Bank SA in Geneva. She worked in the Middle East team as a client service specialist, before taking part in the Associate Training Program in New York and taking the job of Private Bank Analyst for more than three years. After moving to HSBC Private Bank SA as a relationship manager, she joined Apricus Finance SA in 2007. Philomena holds a Master degree in Economics from the University of Geneva. She is Swiss.
Fernando Bueno Costa
Fernando started his financial career in 1987 at Lloyds Bank Plc Brazil. He moved to Geneva in 1995 where he worked for Lloyds, UBS and CA Indosuez as Private Banker for Brazilian clients. He joined Apricus Finance SA in 2018 as a relationship manager. Fernando is Brazilian and holds a Master in Law from the University of São Paulo.
Thomas de Sausmarez
Head of Middle East
Thomas started his banking career in 1999 as a senior relationship manager at Coutts & Co in London, where he headed a team, servicing clients from the Middle East, for 8 years. Thomas then transferred to Coutts & Co Ltd in Geneva where he undertook a number of leadership roles as a Senior Client Partner, managing teams in both Geneva and Dubai. With the sale of Coutts & Co Ltd in 2015, he joined Bank Lombard Odier & Co Ltd, as an Executive Vice President / Head of Middle East International. Thomas joined Apricus Finance in 2021. Thomas holds a degree in Arabic with Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies from the university of Durham. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments (FCISI). Resident in Switzerland since 2007, Thomas was born in London and is a British national.
Christopher began his private banking career in 1996 with J.P. Morgan (Suisse) SA. After six years he completed an MBA from BI’s Norwegian Business School of Management and subsequently joined Citi Private Bank in Geneva, Switzerland. Christopher spent nine years providing advice and financial services to Middle Eastern clients before rejoining J.P. Morgan (Suisse) SA in November of 2013 as an Executive Director. He spent the next six years providing advice and financial services to Middle Eastern clients as a Senior Private Banker before joining Apricus Finance in September of 2019. Christopher was born in the USA and naturalized Swiss in 1994.

Nunziato started his career with Lloyds Bank Plc in Geneva as part of the Dealing Room Team in October 1990. He then joined Apricus Finance in May 2001 as a portfolio manager, and moved to head of the back-office services in 2014. Nunziato holds a degree from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce of Geneva. He holds both Swiss and Italian citizenship.
Raphaël joined Apricus Finance as a trainee in 2015 and subsequently progressed to back-office operations in 2016. He is Swiss.

Sandrine started her career with Etude Crochet in 1994. She then joined Apricus Finance in 1998 and has been in charge of administration accounting since 2001. Sandrine holds a degree from the Ecole de Commerce of Geneva. She is French.
